Governance Statement 2025-2026

The Governing Board has three core functions:

Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and it’s pupils
Ensuring financial health, integrity and value for money

We have 2 full Full Governors meeting per term.

The Full Governing Body – Steve Smith (Chair); Karen Appleby (Head Teacher); Lucy Cross (Co-opted Governor); Peter Dacre (Staff Governor), Nicholas Chesher (Co-Opted Governor); Carley Foster (Co-Opted Governor); Kim Gill (Co-opted Governor); Clare Barker (Co-Opted Governor); Aneta Moss (Parent Governor); Gillian Evans (Local Authority Governor)

During the course of this year, the governing body have restructured to a smaller governing body of 10 governors. The new structure is:

1 Parent Governors
1 LA Governor
1 Staff Governor
1 Headteacher
5 Co-opted Governors
