Promoting Fundermental British Values at Kincraig

At Kincraig Primary School and Children’s Centre we uphold and teach pupils about British Values. The DfE have recently reinforced the need, “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”

The Government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and these values have been reiterated in the year 2014.

Remembrance Day 2016

Remembrance Day

On the run up to Remembrance Day Year 2 and Year 6 went to Bispham’s Memorial. This was a great afternoon as it really brought Remembrance Day home to the children as they looked at the many memorials of fallen serviceman from the local area.

On Remembrance day the whole school got together to listen to Year 6 read Poems like Flanders Field and then we observed a two minute silence.
